Indus Aluminium Ltd – supporting some of Britain's best-known commercial names
In the commercial sector, Indus Aluminium Ltd has linked up with a host of household names who appreciate the quality of our products and workmanship.
Our competitive pricing and minute attention to detail has helped us to win numerous contracts for prestigious projects from the top of Scotland to the south coast.
For example, Indus Aluminium Ltd was the company that installed the huge glass entrances to the Weymouth and Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE centres. The job involved removing the old glass, putting in a new roof and changing the doors. We also produced fitted 16 sets of bi-folding doors in the corporate boxes at Donington Park racetrack – just one of our many prestigious commercial contracts.
Our expertise and reputation for meeting deadlines has also seen us installing shop fronts for the likes of Howdens Joinery, Carpetright, Furniture Village and Sofa Workshop. Another memorable contract we secured was to supply and install new shop fronts for around 80 DFS furniture stores nationwide.
Other well-known companies that have put their trust in Indus Aluminium Ltd include Thomas Cook, Halfords, Harvey’s Furniture and Dwell kitchens. We’ve also been contracted by Staffordshire County Council, Wolverhampton Council, Walsall Council, Medex and Welcome Homes.
We’ve made our mark in the capital too, having worked on offices at two London tube stations, as well as world-renowned luxury jeweller and watchmaker Cartier.
Award-winning contractor Jessup hired us to install windows in new apartments on the Walsall Waterfront development – and in the space of just 18 months we carried out more than £250,000 worth of projects, for Goodrich Actuation Systems, which included fitting aluminium factory doors.
We were also the people who built an impressive glass roof linking two sections of the Windsor Hotel opposite Windsor Castle. While working on that contract, we met TV celebrity Jonathan Ross …. but that’s another story.
Indus Aluminium Ltd is one of the fastest suppliers in the Midlands. Builders make up a key part of our customer base and can rely on our standard ten-day delivery service for anthracite grey or classic white bi-folding doors.
Owners of historic buildings also regularly turn to Burntwood Aluminium Systems when undertaking restoration projects. Our system of installing like-for-like metal windows has seen us helping to preserve the character of many listed buildings – achieving the look of the old with all the advantages of the new.
At Birmingham University we fitted secondary glazing in many rooms of a listed building on the site. This is an alternative to having a heritage window fitted and helps to retain heat without losing the original window.
Indus Aluminium Ltd has also been trusted to carry out sensitive work at other listed buildings, churches and schools.
